Your privacy is part of the product.
KOB Tech Tools is operated by KOB Tech, LLC. We design our tools to process data locally on your device whenever technically possible and to minimize what is collected, stored, or transmitted.
Effective date: October 12, 2026
KOB Tech Tools is operated by KOB Tech, LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains how KOB Tech, LLC (“KOB Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use KOB Tech Tools at kobtechtools.com and related services.
KOB Tech Tools provides browser-based utilities for documents, files, images, passwords, calculations, development, networking, privacy, and other practical tasks.
We minimize access to your content by design.
When a tool can run in your browser or on your device, that is the preferred processing method.
We do not upload your files merely because a tool can be implemented that way.
If temporary server processing is required, content is retained only for the minimum period necessary to complete the requested operation.
A tool identified as local-processing will not silently begin uploading your content without a corresponding disclosure.
What we collect depends on how you use the site.
Information you provide
If you create an account, contact us, purchase a product, or subscribe to a paid plan, we may receive information such as your name, email address, account identifier, billing status, support messages, and the products or entitlements associated with your account.
Technical information
Like most websites, our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, timestamps, referring pages, requested URLs, and basic diagnostic or security logs.
Tool usage information
We may record limited operational information such as which tool was opened, whether an operation completed successfully, processing mode, or aggregate usage counts. We design this telemetry so that it does not require the contents of the files, passwords, text, images, or other data you process.
For tools that run entirely on your device, the files or data you process do not need to be sent to KOB Tech, LLC.
Many tools are designed so your data never leaves your device.
Local-processing tools use browser technologies such as JavaScript, Web APIs, Web Workers, and WebAssembly to perform operations directly on your computer, tablet, or phone.
Examples may include PDF organization, image manipulation, password generation, text transformation, hashing, formatting, calculators, and other utilities that can be safely performed in the browser.
When a tool is labeled Local, its tool content is intended to be processed on your device rather than uploaded to KOB Tech systems.
If local processing is not technically practical, we minimize exposure.
Some future tools may require temporary server-side processing because a needed operation cannot reasonably be performed in the browser or because the tool depends on specialized infrastructure.
If that occurs, the tool will identify the processing mode before you submit content. We intend temporary-processing workflows to follow these principles:
- Use encrypted connections during transfer.
- Process only the content necessary to perform the requested operation.
- Avoid placing user content in WordPress, analytics systems, or long-term storage.
- Delete input and generated output from our processing systems after the operation completes.
- Use automated cleanup safeguards for interrupted or failed jobs.
- Keep only minimal non-content operational or security logs where reasonably necessary.
Tool-specific notices may provide additional details when a particular service requires temporary processing.
Accounts are used for access, purchases, and entitlements.
Most free tools may be available without an account. An account may be required for paid features, purchased licenses, subscriptions, saved preferences, or cross-device access.
Account and entitlement information may include your authentication provider, email address, profile information you choose to provide, subscription status, product licenses, and related account metadata.
Authentication and account-related emails may be delivered through Brevo. Brevo may process your email address, message content, delivery status, and technical metadata needed to send and troubleshoot those messages.
Account systems are separate from tool-content processing. We do not need to store the contents of your local files merely because you are signed in.
Payment card details are handled by our payment provider.
When paid products or subscriptions are offered, payments may be processed by Stripe. KOB Tech, LLC does not need to directly store your full payment card number or card security code.
We may receive payment-related information from Stripe such as customer identifiers, transaction status, subscription status, payment method type, billing country, and other information needed to provide purchased access and maintain billing records.
Analytics should describe site usage, not reveal tool content.
We may use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand site traffic, page performance, device categories, referral sources, and aggregate usage patterns.
Analytics systems are not intended to receive files, generated passwords, document contents, pasted text, or other content being processed by local tools.
Browser settings, consent controls, or privacy tools may allow you to limit certain analytics or cookie-based processing where applicable.
Services we use to operate KOB Tech Tools.
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers for specific functions. We aim to give providers only the information reasonably necessary for the service they provide.
| Provider | Purpose | Typical data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Website hosting, WordPress infrastructure, delivery of site assets, server security, and operational logging. | Website requests, IP address, browser/device information, server logs, and site data necessary to host the service. |
| Supabase | Authentication, account profiles, database services, purchases, subscriptions, licenses, entitlements, preferences, and limited application data. | Account identifiers, email address, profile data, authentication metadata, license and entitlement records, and limited operational data. Local tool contents are not intended to be stored in Supabase. |
| Stripe | Payment processing, billing, subscriptions, invoicing, and payment fraud prevention when paid features are offered. | Billing and payment information, transaction data, customer identifiers, payment method details, and fraud/security signals. |
| Brevo | Transactional email delivery, including account verification, login or OTP emails, purchase receipts, subscription notices, support communications, and other service-related messages. | Email address, name if provided, message content, delivery status, timestamps, IP or device-related delivery metadata, and related email logs. |
| Google sign-in where enabled, and website analytics through Google Analytics and Google Site Kit. | Authentication information provided through Google sign-in and analytics data such as page visits, device/browser information, referral data, and related measurement information. |
We may update this list as the service changes. A provider will not be added merely for convenience when doing so would conflict with our local-first privacy model.
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary.
Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. Account, transaction, subscription, security, and tax-related records may be retained for legitimate business, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal purposes.
Local-processing tool content is not intentionally retained by KOB Tech because it does not need to leave your device.
For future temporary server-processing tools, input and output content is intended to be deleted after processing completes, subject to short automated cleanup windows needed to handle interrupted jobs or technical failures.
Service providers such as Brevo, Hostinger, Supabase, Stripe, or Google may retain technical, security, billing, authentication, analytics, or email-delivery records according to their own operational, legal, and compliance requirements.
We use privacy-preserving architecture as a security control.
No system can guarantee absolute security. We nevertheless design KOB Tech Tools to reduce unnecessary data exposure by keeping processing local where possible, separating account systems from tool-content processing, limiting third-party access, using encrypted connections, and applying reasonable access controls to systems that contain account or billing information.
Our goal is not merely to promise that sensitive content is protected. Whenever possible, we design the service so KOB Tech never receives that content at all.
You can ask questions about the information associated with your account.
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information associated with your account, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, or information about how it is used.
You may also choose not to create an account when a free tool does not require one, and you may adjust available browser or consent settings related to cookies and analytics.
Requests can be submitted through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain account-related requests.
KOB Tech Tools is not directed to young children.
KOB Tech Tools is a general-purpose utility service and is not designed or marketed as a service for children under 13. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in a manner that requires deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
We may update this policy as KOB Tech Tools evolves.
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect new tools, service providers, legal requirements, or changes to how the service operates. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page.
Material changes to how a tool processes user content will also be reflected in the relevant tool disclosure rather than being hidden solely inside this policy.
